  • How often should I get my lounge suite cleaned?

    Manufacturers usually recommend ‘regular’ professional cleaning of upholstered furniture. What does that mean exactly?  This can differ greatly from one home to the next. 


    Many people find 12-month or 24-month cleans keeps their suite looking its best. The longer you leave soiling, stains and marks the harder they are to remove. 


  • Do you offer additional protection for upholstery?

    Yes, we are the Canterbury applicators for the Premium Surface Protection NZ whose leading product is Microseal Organic.


    Microseal Organic is suitable for all fibres and textiles, and is highly recommended by designers and Christchurch's leading furniture retailers and manufacturers.

  • Can you handle tough stains?

    We love a challenge! 


    However, to be fair to our upholstery cleaners, if it’s been a long time between cleans and the suite is heavily soiled and stained, even intensive cleaning may not make it look like new again. 


    Some stains are tough because they contain dyes – food dyes such as red or orange cordial, coloured spices, hair and makeup products. 


    Other liquids are heavy and seep quickly into foam, and extraction may not get it all on the first visit. 


    - a large quantity of blood or vomit

    - chocolate milk

    - liquid ink.

  • Marks have appeared on my furniture

    Sometimes, marks just seem to turn up out of nowhere. This can happen when:


    - a spill goes unnoticed

    - a spill is mopped, up but soapy, sugary or oily residue remains, attracting soiling over the coming weeks/months

    - a spill is cleaned up, but a large watermark appears as it dries.

  • How long will it take to dry?

    Drying times vary depending on fabric type, level of soiling, and the ventilation and ambient temperature of your home. 


    For instance:


    - Heavy cottons may take longer to dry than polyester

    - Heavily soiled seats and armrests require more intensive product use, flushing and extraction may take longer to dry than a lightly soiled suite

    - Having a warm and well-ventilated room (ie. windows left open enough to create air flow) will help the suite to dry more quickly than if the room is very cold and/or closed up


    Most suites can be used again within a few hours. 


  • Do I need to vacuum the sofa first?

    Please do! All manner of things collect under cushions and we’d hate to accidentally suck up something tiny but precious. 


    Also, if shedding pets love your sofa like you do, we like to get as much pet hair off as possible before cleaning, so vacuuming before we arrive saves us some time and so saves you money!


  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    For your convenience and ours, we bring mobile Eftpos for payment at the time of service. 


    Payment can be made using debit or credit cards.


    Non-PayWave debit card transactions are free.


    Bank surcharge applies to PayWave and credit transactions.


    Online payment can also be made at the time of service.
